March 3rd – K3, Storm Peaks
K3 is a neutral goblin base in the Storm Peaks, in Northrend.
Similar to other goblin towns, the place is surrounded by a low wall and contains many different types of vendor.
The Goblins
(This does not include information about the playable Goblin race).
Goblins are described as small humanoids. They are usually a green colour, and are stereotypically heavily interested in commerce and technology. The societies themselves seem to have quite a strict hierarchy.
The other races of Azeroth regard the goblins as the prime users of technology. It is undecided as to whether this is an advantage or a curse – to be technology users in a world of magic. Whilst the gnomes and the dwarves are all heavy users of technology, it is the goblins that push the boundaries of the natural world.
Goblins have swift realised that firepower results in control and control results in gold – meaning they constantly strive to produce and create greater and more powerful forms of ammunition and weaponry. However the general lazy attitude of the race means working conditions are both slow and meandering, resulting in many deaths for goblin tinkerers.
…and a faction of goblins are joining the horde. I will be eying any goblin engineers in my raids with suspicion, and possibly from behind a blast shield.
I think both factions have it rough.
You get ANOTHER bunch of green guys that could blow you up at any moment, we get furry things that I bet molt EVERYWHERE, cause numerous allergies and could turn round and bite us at any moment.
We’re going to have to get leashes.
